See What Happens

Anonymous Anonymous said...
There have been comments from an individual from Stouffville to which artifacts from Aurora were going that way. This is very concerning and fact that it was said. It was overheard after a council meeting in Aurora.

I certainly hope this isn't happening. I also hope  the question  of the museum's rightful home will be resolved soon.
If people have artifacts they are ready to part with for safekeeping , appreciation  and the enlightenment of current and future generations, I would earnestly request they donate them to the Aurora Historical Society. There is storage space at the Church Street School and a recent e-mail indicates a room has  been  provided  for society members to  catalogue the collection
It's a far cry from the museum being  prime purpose of the building and cultural events being accommodated where and when  time and space permits which was the town's intention for the building's use when funds were provided for the restoration.
But it is a step in the right direction and I am hopeful there will soon be a defnitive  answer to the museum's rightful place in the building.

  1. The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum has been undergoing extensive construction and expansion.

Looks to be an interesting attraction will be just around the corner from Aurora……

  2. Too bad you contribute only rumors.

I keep hoping for some authentic news coverage in Aurora, with some real integrity.

    I'm exploring those options.

All this misinformation does not serve the community.
Time to DO something about it.

Say what you will about the former mayor but I like what she has to say about a blog.

I am glad you are looking forward to "authentic" news coverage and integrity in Aurora. Please keep looking and I am certain anytime after December 7, you will start to find some.

Cllr. Buck has been accused of many things but I don't see how sharing HER opinion on HER blog can be deemed misinformation. It may not serve the community at large but her readers enjoy reading about HER opinions.

You are right, perhaps it is time to do something, why not start your own blog. Feel free to write about whatever topics interest you. It makes no difference to me if your viewpoint is different from Evelyn's. I will look forward to reading it just the same.

I'm not sure what to make of your comment about the outgoing Mayor and what she has to say about a blog. Mayor Morris was quoted in the Banner just this week as considering starting her own blog. Hmmm, does that mean she is for or against?

If you don't like blogging why are you reading one and commenting?

    Respectfully,

  5. I was thinking the same thing. A troller. If you can't stand the heat then get the hell out of Evelyn's kitchen!

Who wouldn't agree with this? A true democracy depends on it.

    How can it be achieved?

One Who Knows doesn't seem concerned that so few in Aurora chose to be involved in voting.
Now that can't be a good thing.
I may not be one who knows, but I do believe I'm on safe ground there.

Aurora should be better than rumors and mud-slinging.

  7. "...so few in Aurora chose to be involved in voting."

And, thankfully, thousands fewer still "chose to be involved in voting" for members of the MorMac faction.

  8. Aurora should be better than rumors and mud-slinging

Absolutely correct and thanks to Buck , rumors were facts and the mudslinging came in the form of a completely bogus Code of Conduct complaint which remains on the Towns web site to this very day , I get the feeling it will be removed after the clock strikes midnight October 8

    Questions:

    1. Which blog do you like what our outgoing Mayor is commenting on and what is it that you like so much ? I'm curious;

    2. Is that you Evelina ?
