In the Auroran his week, I was looking for whatever it was a commenter was shocked about in the twilight zone.
I didn't find that. But I found something else.
Catherine Marshall was posing in a group photo with the Honorable Lieutenant Governor of Ontario,David Onley.
I met the Honorable Leslie Frost at the Aurora Armouries . It didn't cost me anything. I consider myself privileged to have met the former Premier of Ontario, a small -town lawyer from Lindsay, who is credited with making Ontario great.
Catherine Marshall is credited with the fund-raising project for the Queen's York Rangers, of having old army helmets turnded into art and auctioning them off.
Catherine Marshall is also a good friend of the former Mayor.
On the night the Mayor arranged to have the St Kitts woman attend the and use the public forum to heap unsubstantiated
allegations and unfounded accusation that I had written negative comments about herself and her husband on my blog and declared her intention to file a complaint against me with the brand new Integrity Commissioner, my grand-daughter with her mother, father,Uncle Frank classmates and teachers were in the audience.
Hayley was to be honored for her anti-litter poster. Two of my five sons, Andrew and Frank, were attending a Council meeting for the first time, with Mum sitting as a member.
The Town Solicitor intervened with advice the matter was not for Council to deal with. But the Mayor was intent and carried on with the plan.
The general consensus in the community was the performance was an appalling display but doubly so with my family members present.
Catherine Marshall wrote a letter to the editor declaring my grand-daughter was not in the least upset.
Now we find the same lady involved as a supporter of the Queen's York Rangers .
The Rangers are now in possession of the former Aurora Hydro building, on five acres of land perfect for the town parks department on Industrial Parkway.
They have a ten year lease. I am in the process of discovering if there is a termination clause in the contract. If there isn't, I understand it may not be legal.
The parks department was turfed out of the building to make room for the "kiddies" was how the former Mayor described it. ..
We are now contemplating an expenditure of twenty million dollars plus to accommodate works and parks department combined. Had the parks department moved entirely to the hydro building, the town-owned site on Scanlon Court would be plenty sufficient for the works department.
We would need a new structure for works but the cost would likely be a tenth of current cost contemplated .
The hydro building was never offered publicly for lease. It was simply and quetly transferred to the Rangers.
I almost feel apologetic having to tell you this. If you find it hard to believe,I wouldn't blame you.
Why would a Council elected to serve you ,do something so absolutely contrary to your interest ? It is simply not believable
Now it appears, Catherine Marshall, the former Mayor's still current friend and Councillor Ballard. the former Mayor's protege and constant supporter, could conceivably have lobbied for the project..
Other clues are probably still to surface.
Are you surprised that these derelicts from a vampire movie are still sucking at the teats of their vampire-mother, the former mayor?
ReplyDeleteThis town is filled with more corruption, past and present, than anything you can read in the wildest novels of blatant perversion.
It is unfortunate that probably 80% of the town's populace either knows nothing about these parasites, or what is even more likely, don't care.
We need an exorcist to visit Auroras for a week or so and cleanse us of these creatures.
Sadly enough I am not surprised - what a sad state of affairs, and residule disrespecy and under the table posturing that the last Mayor and her minions have left us .......
ReplyDeleteI do hope that " Toby "
ReplyDeleteis a common name for a dog in Aurora. Otherwise we might think that Ballard is writing complaints in the Auroran under his dog's name. Guess it could be ' all in the family.'
"The hydro building was never offered publicly for lease. It was simply and quetly transferred to the Rangers. "
ReplyDeleteQUIETLY? Come on. This was in the papers, it was part of council proceedings.
This is just another decision made by a legally elected council that you feel is wrong (your opinions may not always be right). Another in the list of things to reverse because they were done by the evil empire.
We spend so much time this term revering things that were done last term. What is going to happen in 2 years and few months? Is that council going to spend 4 years reversing what this council has done?
Wasn't Catherine Marshall the woman who kept writing letters to the Auroran about how much she was looking forward to the former Mayor's court appearance in her anti-defamation case against 3 residents and some Bloggers? Those letters seem to have dried up. Of course, like the dog Toby, could be the wrong individual.
ReplyDeleteHow it must gall the former Mayor & the ex-councillors to know that if it had not been for their enthusiastic vendettas against specific individuals, staff, fellow councillors & residents, they could maybe have held their places. Every time, Councillor Gaertner has to direct a question through Mayor Dawe, you can hear the anguish in her voice. Even she has realized their folly. Me, I love it. Karma!
ReplyDeleteA lot of private individuals are maligned on this web site. I hope Ms Buck (as moderator) has insurance.

ReplyDeleteName one private individual who has been maligned? Just one. You can't. You've never scored a point since you turned up here. Get some help. Try cold vulture for 2-3 days and check back.

ReplyDeleteDo you have some proof of this?
7:25 AM You need proof for a possible conception? Drink your coffee and take time to think each morning.
ReplyDeleteThere you go again, 9:00 AM, telling others what to do.

ReplyDelete"Is that council going to spend 4 years reversing what this council has done?"
We can only hope ! It may take a bit longer due to the legal battles and contracts that have to be sorted through and sorted out but the least we can all do is try.
