Unacceptable

I received a comment in response to a comment from Tim the Enchanter. It could have started a new thread of discussion
However it referred to Tim with an obscenity particularly repugnant to myself.
I have heard Sean Connery use it and had the same reaction.
Some advice I received recently.."If in doubt leave it out"
So I am,. If the writer cares to send it again without the offending term, the comment will be published.

  1. I read Councillor Ballard's letter in the Auroran, not that one written by his dog. From the outside it appears that he is trying to do to Mayor Dawe what Morris did to Mayor Jones. But she was sneakier.

  2. If you are referring to "Mangy Scot's Git" then you fail to see the reference to Tim's screen name.

In the film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" Tim the Enchanter warns Arthur and the Knights about a fierce monster that guards the entrance to a cave. When they get there, they see a fluffy white rabbit. The knights start putting Tim down to the point when Sir Galahad says, "You mangy Scot's git!". Tim, portrayed by John Cleese had an outrageous Scottish acccent to boot.

I am sure, Tim would have undestood the reference as not a literal slag.

    Well done!
Full marks on the Python reference.

Then again - the actual term EB has deleted may be far worse.

"I warned you, but did you listen to me? Oh, no, you knew it all, didn't you? Oh, it's just a harmless little bunny, isn't it? Well, it's always the same. I always tell them--"
