A Passing Mark

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Political Intrigue is not that intriguing":

There is a natural tendency to assume that those votes you garner are FOR you. I fear the same has occurred here in Aurora.
Have a great day!

Votes cast in one's favour are  certainly entitled to be credited.

In a first election, the voter is giving the candidate  a chance to show what he or she can do.

They watch with interest and take personal satisfaction when the newly elected Councillor  shows signs of growth. They  allow for  a person to  learn.

For a re-elected candidate ,it's  a recognition of  experience and performance or the best that's available.

  1. Yes, sometimes it's just a case of 'the lesser of two evils.'

  2. I wasn't aware of how much of a bummer it could be to discover a vote had been misspent. AS Charlie Brown is supposed to have said, " Life is full of rude awakenings. " I had expected too much.
