Stephanie's Return

My  grand-daughter  Stephanie wll be home today. Maybe  tomorrow she will show me why copied and  pasted comments  keep popping up again and again.

The last  sentence of the  previous post  was intended to note , there was no offer from the Province to pay for every police officer to be armed with taser guns. It  will be millions ,possibly billions more dollars from  the property tax.

Neither was there reference to the fact that  tasers  kill if used improperly.

If a police officer can stand in front of a snow plow and be run down and killed.

If  another  officer , a year later , can  aim his gun at a person who has harmed no-one and pump nine bullets into his body and  yet another follow through  with a taser  to the lifeless body.

If the Leader of a  Federal political party  and Leader of the same Provincial party talk  casually about  decriminalizing pot for political purposes and  President of the  Canadian Police Chiefs Association  talk about the possession of pot  not being a criminal offense ,without considering why people like to smoke it........why would others , of less influence , but  with the  power of life and death, not think it's O.K. to smoke pot when  every ounce of judgement they possess  is  needed to carry out their legal function.

Laughing or crying, why should any of us feel  we are getting what we are paying for fom the people  who claim responsibility for national, provincial and municipal security ?

The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind.
The answer is blowing in the wind.

  1. If political leaders in ALL countries walked around all day in a pot-cloud of smoke, would we be better off or worse?

Maybe the UN could appoint a monitoring group and conduct a study.

  2. I think the ending of the song you were quoting about blowing in the wind refers back to ' When will they never learn ? "
Looks like nothing has been learned since the lyrics were written in the hippie era where pot was the norm.

  3. Correction: Nine shots fired; one missed.

  4. The whole concept of police carrying Tasers is infuriating. They have batons, guns now Tasers. What are they going to strap on their backs when those 3 weapons of choice are misused?

  5. CBC News
" Taser used on 80 year-old woman in Mississauga "
Holy Doodle-bug! That pretty well wipes out the big plans to expand their use.

  6. 11:41... you forgot pepper spray!

Just like bleeding heart liberals say that police should aim their Glocks at legs to disable someone.... they are trained to target the largest part of the body to stop the perp... mind you, 9 shots may be a bit excessive.

You forgot the taser just to make sure. And 1 shot missed.
