It's still bone chilling cold. I am no more inclined to go out for the sake of going out. At least I awake earlier and rise easier in the morning Better than snuggling in for another hour under the duvet.
Readers note,I am consciously counting blessings. It is essential this Monday morning.
Beyond the family, the weekend was both worrisome and wearisome.

Saturday's one-on-one interview between Premier Kathleen Wynne and Peter Mansbridge to justify nefarious Liberal activities in the Sudbury by-election was an insult to intelligence.
Sunday's defence by Liberal Chair of the Standing Commitee of Inquiry into cancellation of
construction contracts at a cost exceeding a billion dollars was equally appalling. A peurile attempt to justify the unbelievable caprice of past leader Dalton McGuinty.
It seems everything learned has been unlearned.
It's not enough for things to be right, they must appear to be right.

The entire political world revolves around the word POWER. The press uses it when reporting the outcome of an election or its abuse when things go off the rail, something that happens almost as a matter of course.
It is the worst word to be associated with politics and politicians.
Where are the words TRUST, RESPONSIBILITY, TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY?
These all seem to have been struck from the language.
We no longer get them because we no longer expect them.
The practitioners of politics are increasingly INEPT, unreliable LIARS.
How did we allow this to happen and what are we going to do about it?
Public attendance at town halls, provincial legislatures and the federal parliament should be a compulsory matter.
Possibly public demonstrations might be appropriate.
And COMPULSORY VOTING.
Daylight savings is just around the corner & I don't trip over the cat in the mornings so all is good on the home front.
Delighted that Ms Wynne now has her own personal scandal - but that is going to depend on whether or not charges are laid.
Meghan still has 2 sets of exams ahead. Hope she hangs in there.
It revolves around money. Power is just a byproduct. Those words are used all the time, in fact I'm sick of hearing them from all politicians and the media. It's just their definitions get twisted to the point they believe their own twisted lies. And politicians would never legislate compulsory voting. Right now, they only have to please 1/3 of the vote to win, anymore than that and they'd be in trouble.
Ah, 20:10. Do try to enjoy the bright days and the fact that no one here appears to be agitating for some scheme to treat our snow. I have to wonder how many, if any, municipalities bought into that region initiative.
20:58 - My days are bright every morning I wake up. Some people didn't this morning.
Don't go out today if you don't absolutely have to do it - you could end up in Oz with Toto
Christopher has kicked some butt
