"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

KALEIDOSCOPE OF BITS AND PIECES

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Consistency...the hobgoblin of little minds":

Hillary clearly trashed the field.

The others should give up and save millions or donate these to refugees from Syria.

What is this stupid "Please prove you're not a robot"?

Of course I'm not. Do you think other commenters are?

*******************************************

Hillary did exactly as expected . The talking heads were hard-pressed to find fault. They did of course  because that's how they make a living.

The Facebook crowd were blown away by Bernie Sanders but there's always a question of whether enough of those who most need what Bernie Sanders has to offer will vote. It seems  many Americans love to believe they too can become that top one per cent with all the wealth.

Are they Democrats ,Republicans,Tea Party supporters or Trumpites or just wishful thinkers who live by their dreams in the land of miracles.

Hillary should have won the nomination last time out. Candidate Obama stole it by tapping into a new well. In the final result, It was not to his advantage. He didn't have the experience, practical skill or connections needed that would have stood him in good stead in the Office of President.

Hillary has it mastered but it's a long way to the President's office. Americans don't have  the pragmatism of Europeans because their history is short and brutal and still reverberating.

The Republican Party truly is a fatal fascination of the moment. John Boehner never looked so good as when he announced retirement the day after the Papal visit. Nobody wants  the job of speaker and Boehner is stuck with it until they find someone.

Then there's the Donald and his  runner-up, greatly admired because of professional success in the medical field. He sprinkles his discourse with "Gimme a break" and Are you kidding me".he is only impressive when he isn't talking.

He has written twenty -six books, the last apparently based on political expertise or lack thereof.
Resembles  the Teflon Don more than anything . Charlie Rose had him as a guest this week and try as he might, Charlie could give him neither gravitas nor personal appeal.

But he stays up there in the polls.

Lately blog has been choked  with spam and getting worse by the day. "Marking it Spam " did not slow the flood in any way. Much of it was robotic.

Stephanie tweaked things to require a word to be inserted to block the spam.

In reply to the question in the above comment, No I don't think you are a robot.

We are blocking  robots.

So far, cross my fingers, it's working nicely ,thank you !

Trudeau is tapping kegs of beer, pouring a few, fondling small babies. Is this a nice human kind of guy or what?

Harper is trying to staunch the bleeding and gets greyer by the hour.

Mulcair is off in the distance wondering what a difference a couple of weeks make. Feeling a bit sorry for him.

I actually like your new robot stopper. Much better than an earlier version in which one had to unscramble numbers or letters.
Sometimes after a long day, that seemed a monumental assignment.

I haven't heard anything more about that wall that was briefly proposed between Canada and the US.
But if those rabid Republicans keep up bashing every group besides their own tiny one, it might not be a bad idea.

There's no question that Mulcair has the experience and the leadership skills to beat Trudeau in this race. He just doesn't have his name.

John Boehner is going to be a lot happier now. Hw can do what he feels should be done and they cannot do anything
to stop him. You can' t fire a guy who has already quit.
