Debates allowed the Senator to repeat his mantra over and over and pummel Hillary with innuendo while being the perfect gentleman and professing great respect. But his voice too is failing and he is noticeably slowing down.
The rigeur of the campaign would be a challenge for a man half his age.

Today a table of multi-million dollar figures spent by all parties on campaign advertising was published.
All over the land , facilities are being rented , people hired, signs and leaflets printed, bus fleets rented to transport followers to rallies. Such an infusion into the economy must be making a difference.

It seems odd to suggest despite winning millions of votes more than the closest rival means the person who knows lots of dirty tricks and is neither trusted nor liked.
But the media only talk to each other,it's not clear that they listen and if a sufficient number repeat an unsubstantiated statement multiple times each day without challenge , it must be true. ...right.
I don't think so.
The media can make or break a candidate. In every debate, Hillary was the only candidate asked to explain why people don't like her.
It was the same eight years ago.
Her first answer to the question was the right one.
"That hurts my feelings"
Then they commented she "showed her humanity"
These US political drama shows have been very entertaining. I've missed 2 days of Soap's. Drama on Y&R is lame compared to these primaries.
ReplyDeleteIt really is time for Sanders to quit. He has done badly even in Illinois where he thought he would do very well. And I agree with Evelyn= he is sounding tired. It was an interesting ride but it is over for him.
ReplyDeleteFox has cancelled that debate - Trump calls the shots there now.
The only brokered convention I can recall was the Democratic one in Chicago.

That debate was scheduled for Utah. Weirdos there planned to bring the land dispute into the debate. Even Trump figured out that would be a bad idea since one of his New Hampshire team has been indicted for participation.
