2017. MONDAY MORNING?

I have been commenting  on various issues on Facebook. I didn't stop writing cold turkey.

This morning I turned to  television to learn what there is to know about the mosque shooting
In Quebec City. The Prime Minister has apparently called it an act of terrorism. Since the target
was  a Muslim mosque, it occurred to me to wonder who could the criminals be ?

The police are also calling it terrorism but refusing to say what leads them to that conclusion.

Translation is always awkward.

It seems between  RCMP, Quebec Provincials and Quebec City Police Chief, there's nary a bilingual among them.

So the obvious question remains; in the context of current world terrorist activities, why would Muslims be the target of a mass shooting ?

Who would be the terrorists?

Extreme right-wing Catoliques?

One suspect was arrested at the scene. A second  later called 911 and waited for the police to come and arrest him. Which they did, according to the directions  he gave them. That's not like any jihadists  heretofore heard of.

In the meantime, hundreds of soldiers and police officers are being deployed to keep the people of Quebec City and the Province safe and provide security for other mosques.

Six people are dead;  five are seriously injured...three between life and death. I told you translation
Is difficult.

Three police forces, federal, provincial and municipal and the Prime Minister are calling it terrorism.

The media echo their account of the matter.

But the public are not to know the identity of the enemy.

Not until the investigation is complete.

Has the entire world gone mad?

  1. Yes, the entire world has gone mad. I'm scratching my head each and everyday. I don't use facebook, so I wouldn't be able to read any of your posts there. As long as your still writing, that's really what matters.
