A Humble Apology

I'm having a slight butexasperating problem with publishing.

A pink line appears telling me an error has occurred that won't allow publishing.

Then a place to "dismiss"' the message. But t doesn't.

Then I fiddle  about with  Draft   I set about editing while  letting it it rest. Then I publish . But the edit hasn't happened.

I grit my teeth, edit again and click on publish , hoping it will.

If I spent as long as I might , improving the writing , I would likely offer half as many  posts.

I'm not being paid upwards of $100,000 a year with benefits to publish this blog.

Nor $7.50 a week which is what I used to get paid to write a weekly column  for either of the two local newspapers.

I do this as a labour of love and  a contribution to town affairs.  The object is to get as much information out to you as possible within the exigencies.

So those who criticize  my spelling and editing can , with all due respect,  Go Fly A  Kite in their spare time.

To the rest . I humbly apologize for  the myriad of corrections after the fact.

Have a great Sunday

  1. There is only one offender, I believe, Evelyn. And he/she sure has lots of time to harp about spelling & grammar.
Those who can't ' do, ' criticize those that can & do do.

  2. Oh Evelyn...I so appreciate and enjoy every and any post you make. If I can only tell you how you've influenced my interest in politics. In the last few years I have opened my eyes not only this towns business, but to the Regions, Provincial and Federal affairs.I thank you so much.

  5. E. if the only criticism your readers can think of are: a Fewww typo's "Hear and their", then take it as a compliment. Based on some of the antics taking place at GC lately ,it proves that your colleagues can't even read!!

Keep typing - even with your toes- you are the pulse of this town :)

  6. Discovered an art studio right here in Aurora…and what do they do besides art lessons?... Exhibit art from local artists and surrounding areas. All on their own without taxpayers money! And what a beautiful job they’re doing! The Patrick House Art Studio & Gallery. I’ll certainly be supporting a small local business that has the drive to make it on their own.

Are you saying that this studio is the real Culture Centre?

    We don't need another one?
