CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT BUT SATISFACTION BROUGHT IT BACK

Sheesh. Who cares ?

*******************************

I had to go back a couple of posts to find substance to the question.

The discussion arose out of a proposed  law for segregation of washrooms.

Somebody takes it seriously.

It may be general discussion  is only beginning.

I noticed recently  a box  on a form for gender identification had  four categories.

The fourth was "other" .

I wondered what other could there possible be. Like a category yet unidentified had to be allowed.

Certainly same sex marriages and adoptions and the new look of families means genealogical charts may never be entirely the same again.

When Rosie O'Donnel's marriages failed, three times I think, there must have been three divorces?

I didn't hear.

Are same sex divorces included in national divorce statistics ? If not, why not ?

What is the success rate as opposed to opposite sex marriages? Is there a separate statistic?

Are there child custody  battles?  How does a judge determine which parent is best for the child or children? What precedents are used ?

I think Rosie kept all her children. I suppose that would be alright. Assuming as a woman, she might have maternal instincts.

How do children fare in a divorce or three?

I expect few, if any, answers to these questions.

Maybe because nobody cares. Or there hasn't  been time for problems to emerge.

Or the question might be considered a woman's or a child's issue and therefore of slight significance.

There's  a few more answers I don't know.

Who'd a thunk it?

  1. We have statistics for all sorts of families that have gone through divorce of male and female gender, and government is still trying to figure those out and remedy the problems that come with divorce through legislation and government support programs. Government in the not too distant future is going to have to deal with another set of problems. Won’t those be “sunny days”.

  2. It is all very much a muddle and the celebrity idiots do nothing to clarify matters. It is now commonplace for someone to have been married multiple times - take Trumph for an extreme obvious example. To me it just means they are not a good bet to do well in the future. Heaven help any offspring that get caught in the rancour.

Meanwhile it is a lovely start to the weekend. Might not last - enjoy what we have.

  3. Unfortunately many kids get caught in the crossfire of divorce. Some make it though Ok, some don't. Trump's kids seem like they've all done well. Happy, healthy and hard working. He can't be all that bad.
