A Sea Change

Yesterday someone complimented me. Said what I had learned since starting the blog was nothing short of miraculous,or along that line.

It was nice. I am pleased to accept .

Many things have happened since I started the blog in August 2007. The Aurora Citizen also  came into being  and Chris Watts  blasted his way like a comet on to the scene as well.

Bill Hogg is a different generation to myself. He  understands the value  of the internet from  business experience.

Chris Watts is a different generation to Bill Hogg.  He  learned about computers almost at the time he  learned to walk and talk. They are part of his life experience.

It's small wonder he has little patience with  people of  earlier generations  and how far  back we are  but  he is  linked smoothly with his own and  younger ones to follow.

I  wish there was a way the town could  use the professional skills  of Chris Watts to build our  web site into what it could be
and should be.

I believe, politics have changed and in a very short time will change again  beyond recognition.

Mat Maddocks  and George and Rosalyn Gonsalves  and others who attend Council regularly are  the visible part of  the revolution.

They criticise, commend and encourage Council. They participate.
They have undertaken the rightful role of an engaged citizenry.

I think it's great.

I believe the change happening at the grass roots level  is  the way revolutions always have.

 Aurora is  in the forefront.

It is not an unfamiliar circumstance.
