"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

Things Heard

Someone said, I think it was Councillor Ballard, that if the park or other town facility is not booked by anyone else , waiving user fees doesn't mean a loss of revenue.

That's like saying, if the dentist and his chair hasn't been booked, some lucky patient patient should get free service.

It's like the return of Stephen Granger.

He once somberly announced ;

" I have observed that traffic  tends to travel east and  west It also travels north and south"

The foregoing has  entered into legend as a Granger -ism.

Most mornings, when you put up a new post, it's like reading the "Morning Smile" that used to appear on the front page of the Globe and Mail.

A chuckle to get the day off to a good start.

Any progress on having GC meetings streamed online with Rogers like Council Meetings?
