There once was a bitter old bully named Buck
Who......
(Now then what rhymes with Buck??????)

Little John Abel
Sat at the table
Eating his Christmas pie
He put in his thumb
And pulled out a plum
And said ....Hey......clever ..eh
To be continued.

ReplyDeleteIt must be the heat warning in effect issued by Environment Canada - tomorrow 31 degrees and Monday 33 degrees, that is bringing forth this juvenile nonsense from one of your readers, and continued by you.
Most people know the book about Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates, but most do not know that within that tale was another one, far more significant. It involved a Dutch boy who saves his country by putting his finger in a leaking dike. He stays there all night despite the cold. In the morning adults of the village find him and make the necessary repairs.
Now that's somehow more meaningful than stupid nursery rhymes.
Abel simply isn't worth the attention.
Jack be nimble, Jack be quick.
ReplyDeleteJack jump over that candle stick.
" Ouch "
Oh, maybe not such a good idea after all
It really must be the heat.
ReplyDeleteThe blog is so calm after my excursions into the refugee mess in Europe and that republican insanity in Kentucky.
Wow Evelyn! I had know idea that this is the type of shit that comes into your in box of comments.
ReplyDeleteWhat was not worth a hill of beans this weekend was the disgusting presentation to Former Councillor Granger.
ReplyDeleteTo pat him on the back for the Farmers Market is horrible after he fleeced them with help to start a Jazz Festival.
I think if we really knew it would blow our minds.............
ReplyDeleteChristopher
ReplyDeleteNever heard of any Granger. Did he leave Aurora ?
ReplyDeleteQuite a few of the rhymes originated as political commentary of the day..
ReplyDeleteWho are you supposed to have bullied ? I'm not sure that saying you think someone had done something nasty to you
ReplyDeletequalifies. It is not as though Abel is a lone vulnerable voice at that table. He Always moves with the numbers.
Sounds like a condescending basket-case, Could be any sex.
