"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

Little John Abel
Sat at the table
Eating his Christmas pie
He put in his thumb
And pulled out a plum
And said ....Hey......clever ..eh

It must be the heat warning in effect issued by Environment Canada - tomorrow 31 degrees and Monday 33 degrees, that is bringing forth this juvenile nonsense from one of your readers, and continued by you.

Most people know the book about Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates, but most do not know that within that tale was another one, far more significant. It involved a Dutch boy who saves his country by putting his finger in a leaking dike. He stays there all night despite the cold. In the morning adults of the village find him and make the necessary repairs.

Now that's somehow more meaningful than stupid nursery rhymes.

Abel simply isn't worth the attention.

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick.
Jack jump over that candle stick.
" Ouch "
Oh, maybe not such a good idea after all

It really must be the heat.
The blog is so calm after my excursions into the refugee mess in Europe and that republican insanity in Kentucky.

What was not worth a hill of beans this weekend was the disgusting presentation to Former Councillor Granger.
To pat him on the back for the Farmers Market is horrible after he fleeced them with help to start a Jazz Festival.

I think if we really knew it would blow our minds.............

Never heard of any Granger. Did he leave Aurora ?

Quite a few of the rhymes originated as political commentary of the day..

Who are you supposed to have bullied ? I'm not sure that saying you think someone had done something nasty to you
qualifies. It is not as though Abel is a lone vulnerable voice at that table. He Always moves with the numbers.
