"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

JACK FELL DOWN AND BROKE HIS CROWN

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "LITTLE BOY BLUE COME BLOW YOUR HORN":

Meek and bubble heads? I don't think so. Maybe one or 2 of them, but I think most of them know exactly what's going I remember listening to Wynne statement about not having any knowledge of the planned cancellation of the gas plant contract, and remembered thinking right there and then she was so full of BS. The deceit that has always sourounded politics at all levels is getting worse. The financial losses have never been bigger.

With respect, I believe you are wrong.

Two  arms length bodies are responsible for the supply and distribution of hydro energy. At the time ,
only one.

Hydro One has been the authority in the Province since immediately after the Second World War and transition from agrarian to industrial economy.

Ontario became the most successful Province in Canada.

The contracts for the two power generation plants in Missuassaga and Oakville  were awarded
by Hydro One.

On the eve of the previous election, former Premier McGuinty ordered closure of the coal- burning generation plants, in response to serious pressure from former Mayor Hazel McCallion and despite the authority of Hydro One.

The order to cancel  projects  already being built  was a repeat of the midnight shuffle of the previous election .

Politicians all over the Province gasped when that decision was announced. I doubt  cabinet members were aware. There is no reason to believe it would have received support any more than it did from anyone outside Mississauga or Oakville. It was a truly shameful display of subservience.

The supply and distribution of power was not the responsibility of the Provincial Cabinet. It
cannot  therefore be conclusively argued Premier Wynne was aware of that last minute calamitous decision.

I am not a fan of Ontario Liberals. Even less of Provincial Conservatives. There's more than enough
Valid criticism  without making accusations that can't be proven.

The election was decided by Conservative Tim Hudak's  unbelievable negative performance.

Not by anything the Liberals had going for them.

Two negatives don't make a positive.

They make me want to puke.

We are simply further down the bung hole than before with no one to throw us a rope or a ladder.

I do agree that Hudak blew that one, Certainly in Aurora that seemed to be the case..

I agree that Hudak's stupidity handed over the elections to the Liberals. But awarding a majority government for their diabolical 13 year performance was crazy, and we've been paying for that choice. But..Hey!... The people of this province are well accustomed to pain and suffering.

Someone really doesn't like anything going on in the world. I find most current politics appalling but have not thrown in the towel quite yet.

I haven't read anything here that says they're throwing in the towel. More like they want to throw away most of these politicians.
