Love this Blog Evelyn! And respect all your thoughts and opinions. I generally am in total agreement of all you write in regards to politics, but I have to say....your supprt of Hillary has thrown me for a loop, but I keep reading with interest.I will always keep reading your blog. I do love when you write about your life as a little girl in Scotland. Those posts are magical. Thank you again for all that you do.

Thank you .
To know the blog means something to someone else is all I need to keep it going.
Comments to town business are always more and that makes makes sense. The interest is shared.
Blogs about American politics not so much. That also makes sense.
We don't live there..pay taxes..or vote there. We don't share their political experience.
We know it only from reading and listening, watching on television, and travel. We share language and
a foundation of English Common Law and a border ... we are and we are not part of their culture.
If I were American, I'm fairly certain I would be a Democrat. But the complexity of their politics keeps me in awe.
As a Canadian, I'm certain things here are not as they were or should be but assuredly, I have less confidence in the American system.
Brute Force Sarah Palin, Whirling Dervish Trump, Hard Scale Cruz and Weeping John Stasich
awaiting the Lord to reveal his will ...each has a following of millions.
The cacaphony of commentary from "specialists" , " senior analysts", "surrogates" and academics
all making a living from politics while actively contributing ,it seems, to its demise is counter-productive at best . No natural controls appear to exist.
My experience of life indicates civil order is fragile in any country , at any time. It needs to be nurtured and protected.
The conflagration will not end with the election in November.
It didn't with the current President.
It's crazier now than it has ever been.

We haven't experience Civil War in Canada. We had a "rebellion" and the last civil war in the US was before any of us were born. I suspect that one might be looming in our lifetime considering history seams to repeat itself, and money is always the common denominator.
They appear to have lost it totally when Obama was elected. Never mind the second time. Now that 47% that Mitt Romney mentioned is a festering split. I have no idea what electing a woman would do to them. Just wish the whole thing were not so darn looooong.
Rumour are circulating that a senior director will be terminated.
