"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

We could ship a good half dozen of our heavyweight female irritants, some with hyphens, some with glass jars, some with an overdose of personal "culture," off to Newmarket where they might be able to fulfill the needs of the advertised position at a very reasonable salaried cost.

And they would be gone!

Aurora would be better off if the Mayor and certain councillors were not constantly trying to be Newmarket or Richmond Hill. Councillor Gaertner used to have a melt-down whenever Magna gave Aurora less than Newmarket. We should stick to our own business and stop trying to emulate other places with a larger tax base.

Other than Evelyn's musings, who said that Aurora is doing the same thing?

I would remind everyone, including our host, that this blog is called "Our Town and its Business" and not "Their Town and our Business".

8:56 AM Grouchy this morning, aren't you? Are you sure you want to tell Evelyn what her Blog should be about before you think about it a bit?
