What Price The Oath of Office.

It will not be the town's responsibility to publish the transcript of the hearing and witness affidavits
But the material is public .
I'm fairly certain it  is accessible through the  justice system.
Though I'm not going to attempt to provide the arrows.
Brock Speirs and  Diane Buchanan  were both at the hearing 'Have been since the beginning. Tuesday's Auroran will have
much of the information.
The decision on Hazel McCallion is still pending. Rob Ford's is also not yet decided. None of them are similar. The decisions will not likely  hinge on each other
I have heard no  decision  has  yet imposed  the full penalty under the law.

In municipal circles. it's said  legislation is only as good as it will stand up in court.
Somebody said  here a week ago, the Municipal Act is in disrepute or words to that effect.
The Act is intended to  provide  municipal officials with a diagram for good order.
A civil society does not anticipate elected  officials, chosen on the basis of trust .will flagrantly flout  rules of good order.
It is a direct contradiction of  the  Oath of Office.

  1. Budget meeting for you today & Council tomorrow. Peeked at the Agenda. Looks like a long one. Will it be 'streamed ' and where do we find it? TV, computers, floating in the air? I hope we can tape or watch when we want as the Election will have priority.

  2. What puzzles me is that it takes a resident to use their own resources in order to hold the government accountable. How can Council's Code of Conduct, the Charter of Rights, the Municipal Act and the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act be upheld if it takes private resources to fight public resources ? It really makes you wonder how safe our basic rights are.
