The Municipal clerk who holds the position is still working . He was at the Budget meeting on Saturday and will be there again to-night.
He presented the department's 2014 budget and everyone at the table knew what they had done.
The responsibilities of the position are still there.
It's not clear how they will be carried out without the Director in place.
I have yet to discover that.

The Mayor, in his infinite wisdom, appears to be doing everything possible to create a mess for whoever is in that job next term. Councillors are forbidden to ask staff pertinent questions, deals are being negotiated for huge amounts without consultation with residents and more money is going out than in.

Were you present when this "elimination" was determined by Council?
If not, did you have any idea this was coming?
What is the effect of this "elimination?"
Does anybody there know what they are doing?
