"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

Rejection accidental

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Nero Made History Doing Nothing":

Council voted 5-4 to begin negotiations. The proponents believe that they are on track. So, I think we have to keep the pressure up.
While the petition is a good thing to have available, it accepts the idea of this ' vision '. That would be a mistake. It needs to be pounded right out of consideration.

I quite agree. I simply do not trust Council anymore.

Somehow council authorized spending more $ on this project. It is like the stupidity with Mr K's trees writ large.

We have to wait to see how the minutes report that meeting

Ever since the terms “innovative” and “partnership“ popped up in politics….It’s given government a license to spend taxpayers money like drunken sailors to all their friends.
