"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

For Now....that's it for the Market

Whew for something that didn't need to be talked about ...it was talked about ....a lot. At the same time  a fair amount of abuse was tossed about .

I've cut it off. Calling each other names  might be good for letting off steam but it doesn't accomplish much.  Before I do , I have to say ,the Market has been a political football for too long,Council members are not the only politicians movin' and shakin' .

We need to see if the  Market Bylaw can be improved .

p.s.
I don't think for a minute  people who enjoy going to the market for fresh produce, honey ,herbs ,
starter plants and perennials and home-made jam  go for any reason but the flavor of a market and to buy fresh produce, honey and herbs, starter plants and perennials and home-made jam.

Quite right & so far everyone still attends the market to meet their neighbours & enjoy whatever weather is being dished out that Saturday. I hope we can keep it that way by showing a bit of flexibility to keep the place inclusive.
