Your blog host takes exception to words taken out of context.
Rational opposition by stakeholders taxed to purchase culture without as much as a by-your -leave, does not come under the heading of whining and complaining.
It represents the legitimate right of concerned and sensible property owners to object to a rash and incompetent annual budget decision to hand over almost $1million in cash and services-in-kind to a self-appointed board, that makes decisions behind closed doors, to spend as they will on programs already provided elsewhere in the community at no cost to the taxpayer.
It represents 3 points on a tax bill set to rise by 5 +points with no obvious effort to exert control.
From my perspective, opposition to spending on culture is strong, consistent, firm and continues to grow. The issue is still current.
Sneering and jeering at those who oppose adds nothing to the cause. I suggest the opposite is true.
Nincompoopery is not enhanced by hokerypokery. Snobby twits notwithstanding.

The troll does seem to have its tail in a twist- if trolls have tails.
"The issue is still current."
*chuckles* Only on this blog.
I have little knowledge as to what goes on at the culture centre. I have read numerous times that services provided elsewhere in town are being duplicated. Could someone provide some examples?
You've read that here, 14:29, and there's a high level of repetition on this blog.
14:29
May I suggest authors and guest speakers who can be accommodated at the Library and in churches by various service groups ? This one I do know a bit about from attending those things.
Repetition is good for everyone. Who else in this town is going to reminds us what is really going on.
14:29- You can go on line and check out all the programs listed there as with the Aurora Public Library website. But here are a few private businesses in this Town:
The Patrick House Art Studio & Gallery,
Pine Tree Potters Guild,
Borealis Glass,
Gallery Seven,
The Arts Music Store,
Theatre Aurora,
Crock A Doodle,
Art Lab,
Aurora Photo Works,
Blue Panda Studio,
Medrek Art & Murals
@14:29
You are paying for the centre and should know about it. Mornings are good for dropping in and having a good look around. You can pick up literature on whatever events are on or planned.
But do not sign any visitors' list or you will end up getting all sorts of promo.
Nincompoopery, Hokerypokery and Snobby Twits.... Love it!...Stealing these!
"But do not sign any visitors' list or you will end up getting all sorts of promo."
After you just finished telling 14:29 that they "should know about it"?! Wouldn't any "promo" help in that regard, 18:37?
Is that the sound of sucking and blowing I can hear?
"From my perspective, opposition to spending on culture is strong, consistent, firm and continues to grow."
That just shows how out of touch you are.
20:17
Nope. It is the sound of someone who was interested in the programs initially and then got hit by regular demands to attend events.
08:32, I would think that you can tell the difference between information and "demands to attend events." Equating communication with some sort of coercion is ridiculous.
How many times do people here complain about a lack of communication?
23:11- It shows how delusional you are.
