Consistency...the hobgoblin of little minds

Is it only two weeks since Pope Francis' visit? The media frenzy of devotion was such it seemed almost anything was possible. 

Within days, a documentary appeared  to show how he had changed since he was first  in a position of authority. From forbidding priests to work with the poor from becoming a priest who lived and empathized with the poor. Suddenly he wasn't all the media had proclaimed him to be. 

They told us nothing  not already revealed. Everywhere the Pope goes he asks to be remembered in prayers.

The movie Ghandi was shown on television during the same period.  A week later a documentary sought to disclose how Ghandi was not the outstanding character the movie claimed.He changed his mind about things during his lifetime. When this was not successful,he tried that. 

The media frenzy is building to a crescendo to-night on the imminent debate on the Democratic Primary. Five debates are scheduled. Everybody it seems has something of vital significance to say about it. A poll is cited giving Hillary Clinton  70% approval among Democrats. 

Most of the talk is how untrustworthy she is. She lied about using her own e-mail . She flip-flops on issues and generally speaking  is thoroughly reprehensible. 

In the meantime, I think  it would be passing strange if the current President of the United States and his family were  not looking forward to the day of handing over responsibility of the Presidency to 

a successor.
