An Elaborate Charade

can’t wait for the next chapter that explains how it is that a brand new state of the art building requires a $2,000,000 renovation in order to accommodate the police , The level of incompetence both at the Region and the Town is staggering, Is it possible that this expenditure was yet another legacy left behind by not selling the needed lands to the Region in the first place ? If the previous council had cooperated with the Region might this expenditure of the same tax payers money have been avoided ,

The comment is an example of how words can mislead people.

My take on the situation is the top floor was intended to accommodate headquarters. Since the town refused to sell land we had for sale and the police needed. It wasn't finished at the same time because it wasn't needed at the same time.

Space was leased on Industrial Parkway for a division. The lease was probably expiring.

The top floor is being completed not renovated.

Not much doubt the parking building was needed because of the space issue. Land would not have cost $6 million. I think we charged what it cost for the first parcel.

Someone asked why the former Mayor would not have wanted the headquarters in Aurora.

That's an easy one.Though not more credible. I believe, it was all about taking credit for bringing the Headquarters to Aurora. The machinations didn't play out as intended.

My impression is the woman couldn't cross the street safely. Despite many advisors aiding and assisting her feelings of omnipotence.

The only skill evident was in finding people willing to be set up, to take the fall, if things didn't go right.

Trying to keep track was like watching a particularly contorted and exhausting game of charades.

Another odd thing about the news story... it had two people working on it. It was only eighty lines long.

Did anybody catch Mayor Grossi on Jamie Young's show "Perspectives"?
