Evelyn, I'm sure the GOS has done quite a few things they weren't allowed to do.
And they knew full well they were in the wrong doing them.
We the voters with this knowledge will be passing it on come October.
There are a couple of things that puzzle me about the new I.C. and the GO6 reasons for pushing for a hire. It doesn't make sense to me that they can re-submit their last complaint while there is litigation pending. If they are all covered under the town's insurance policy you would think that the insurer's legal team would not allow them to possibly compound their legal problems while the case is still pending. One would think that if they did file a complaint citing that same stuff they did in the last one, then Ev's lawyer would jump all over it, and to my way of thinking that only improves Ev's assertion that she has been slandered. How can the tunaman, himself a lawyer, even contemplate going anywhere near that stinky pile? No, it just doesn't make sense to me, the GO6 can end up with egg all over their faces, not undeserved, but how does that "leave the Town harmless" ?? If they file a new complaint, not citing anything mentioned in the original, then that can certainly come back to bite them in the butts too. Ev could answer those charges easily, all she has to do is submit the tapes of the council meetings and all the nasty emails. I am firm believer in the old adage that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. I dunno, what am I missing here??? The whole mess seems so foolhardy, but then why should they care, it is after all the taxpayers footing the bill in the end.
