"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

To-day's The Day

We will take our Oath of Office. It's not the usual process. As events evolved since the day of the election. without any formal discussion, a consensus apparently developed ,it would be wise for the deed to be done sooner rather than later.

Moving the election two weeks ahead without forwarding the end of term, created an element of uncomfortable tension.

A Councillor is not a Councillor until the Oath is sworn. There will be no meeting. We will individually present at the Clerk's office and take care of the business of committing ourselves to the best interest of our town, with the utmost integrity for the next four years.

The ceremonial will still take place on December 7th.

The positive energy about the opportunity before us is not waiting.

It's growing.
