The police board has allocated $4 million in the 2012 budget for the retrofitting of the third floor of the Aurora building, but more discussion about the costs and benefits of the move needs to happen,

call it what you like the bottom line is there can be little doubt that completing the building in the first place would have saved big$$

Plans to move the police headquarters have apparently been in the wind for years. It was actually the Region's plan.

They needed the space ,

They've taken over almost all of the plaza north of the Yonge Street, Newmarket address.

The Region just keeps on growing  like Topsy.

One of the biggest occupational  hazards of any police department is gossip.

Apparently, plans to move to Aurora were a poorly kept secret long before Aurora got into the act

And screwed it up. .
