"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

Guest Post ....From the mouths of babes

This kind of stuff just makes me laugh. Off topic but we clearly see where Councillor Ballard stands. (I know Evelyn this is just water off a duck's back).

On his current & apparently last posting at chrisballard.ca (until after the provincial election) he states:

"Aurora Town Council has unanimously agreed to suspend my remuneration during the election period. I will remain available to residents if they have a concern. If I can't immediately help, I'll find someone who can. Two councillors who have been particularly effective in working with Aurora residents are John Gallo and Wendy Gaertner. Click a name to send them an email."

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and so there's his opinion of the rest of council.

What's this a payback endorsement? What a way to build bridges. Good luck to him if he ever wants to work with the Town Council from a higher level.

Like he said when he got into office "Let the games begin."

We cannot say we did not see him coming this time. I am so delighted that this will be dealt with quickly at the polls. The municipal thing is going to be exhausting.

This is like the blind leading the dumb.

Has the man no pride in himself?

The Liberal candidate for our provincial riding must use snuff laced with God knows what.

Gaertner and Gallo come highly recommended by him. I wonder if he feels the same way about measles?

A vacuum naturally fills itself when given the opportunity. I don't know what his vacuum contains.

Ya know, if you want to be done with Cllr Ballard at Town hall, the rational thing to do would be to help him get elected to Queen's Park. Get out there and get him elected! He'll be a meaningless cog in the party wheel in Toronto, and probably won't even form the government.

A great deal of pride, challenging a fellow councillor to sabres at dawn. It's all a big joke to him.

No. Can't do that although there are those who hope the majority will opt for the easy solution.
