The painting by Rembrandt was created 372 years ago and is correctly called The Night Watch, this shortened name having been bestowed upon it during the 18th century.
It is more than 2 1/2 times older than Canada.
I wonder what Canadians will be looking at 200 years from now.

The program was an hour . It linked the period with the high point of Holland's history.
Art was a commodity. The walls of a cobblers shop were lined with art for sale. Art was everywhere.
The program was thoroughly enjoyable. Another in the series will be presented next week.
The one I saw to-night will no doubt be repeated.

Tom Thomson exchanged his work for room & board while staying in Algonquin. He had a paying job to make ends meet, There was certainly no talk about his home town sending him to study in Paris as one candidate for council here is suggesting.
