"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

ALL IN GOOD TIME

Our Mayor is our one and only representative at the Region. A full supporter of all Regional stuff.

Not a lot of substance in that comment.

"A full supporter of all Regional stuff"

What stuff ? We don't read much regional stuff. The word is generally silent.

Names are not even familiar and some have been years on Regional Council. I heard once Regional Councilors can cast a vote by phone on occasion. They don't even need to be at the table.

Twaddle  in The Auroran this week refers to  Hotel Development Charges . An Aurora resolution was referred for translation to the Chief Administrator of the Region.

I'm still tuned to the American presidential nomination battles. Hopelessly hooked. CNN provides a surfeit of coverage. Fantasy enough for a lifetime.

My favourite technology tool is the mute button on the remote control.

Every media star, large and small, has been called to action. As one person's voice breaks down
a fresh one takes over.

Some voices assail the senses. Like chalk on a chalkboard, high nasal twang assaults the ears.
Most are female except for Ted Cruze. His voice is not all that's unappealing about his personality.

Wolf Blitzer and John King have that rat-a-tat delivery, like there isn't a minute to lose. Everything is repeated over and over. Reality becomes more distant by the word.Lexicon has become a frequent reference.

Chris Cuomo has the most soothing instrument. He reminds me of his Dad except he's better looking.
I liked his Dad.

Hillary is most in control. Discipline seldom fails her. She's been through the process once before.
And lost. She knows how that feels. Her courage is monumental.

Ironically, composure, intelligence and total readiness are completely out place in the group.

Trump says Hillary doesn't have  "stamina".

Sanders tells his followers  "We mustn't make the Secretary nervous"

Few differences exist between the pair. Obviously both decided they would never see a better opportunity.

Neither can match Hillary's competence, experience, preparedness or background. She is a polished political performer at home and on the world stage.

Sanders and Trump unable to come anywhere close , must content themselves with snide insinuations against her character and barely veiled references to gender, as opposed to anything of value either  might bring to the Oval Office.

Everything depends on the listeners.

We must wait and see.

Neither candidates nor campaigns make the decision.

For whatever reason, the majority  will choose.

"For whatever reason the majority will choose."

Now that is truly scary.

It is truly scary. I think the republicans are headed for a brokered convention. Fortunately without guns. I do not know about open bars.
Hillary just has to survive and it must be awful for her.

That reference about the mayor reflects the general opinion that he votes with the majority at the Region.
I would like to know how he voted at SouthLake when the board went after the endowment group leader. When asked he said the incident involved " personal" matters and he would not say.
