"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

LIKE LIFE AND DEATH ...POLITICS IS REAL.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "ALL IN GOOD TIME":

It is truly scary. I think the republicans are headed for a brokered convention. Fortunately without guns. I do not know about open bars.
Hillary just has to survive and it must be awful for her.

****************************************************************

It is scary. It was  forever thus. No one has ever suggested it's fun.

We have leadership conventions. There are no caucus or closed primaries with amazingly lax procedures.

Rules have changed. The race is won by whoever sells most memberships. Mail- in votes and the youth vote seems to have an impact.

Canada's population is a fraction of the U.S.  Political views are less extreme. The parties put more value on the votes of minorities than white Anglo- Saxon Protestants.

"Canadian " values are no longer clear.

No bones are made about it.

Canadian culture and values are up for grabs.

Hillary is doing better than surviving. She is two and a half million votes and seven hundred delegates ahead of Sanders.

But with no help at all from the chattering class. They discount her success at the ballot box by referring over and over to lack of popularity and trust.

As one lot of voices wear down, replacements appear.  But  the story  doesn't change.

Same old same old ....hour upon hour...day after day. Like water on a stone.

Her skills  and background are acknowledged and concurrently dismissed. Enemies  are given unlimited air time to attack her while she has no opportunity to defend herself.

An advantage of watching as it happens on television, we can make our own judgement of how things are evolving. The disadvantage is not seeing the players as real flesh and blood human beings.

If you prick us do we not bleed.

How it feels cannot be imagined.

Experience seems to count for nothing. Well thought out positions and policies are tossed into the garbage.

Instead we get bombast and bullshit, from both sides. Ignorance and idiocy carry the day because they appeal to the ignorant idiot class.

How and why did this come to pass? Even the pollsters don't have the answers. Do they have the right questions?

This is the absolute worst example of mass hysteria in the political arena in the past hundred years, if not longer.

If it was just Americans who would pay the price that might be acceptable. But it's the entire world that is held hostage to this horror. And we don't deserve it!

The NDP are going to tear their leader apart. And what happened was not all his fault. He was stuck between the two extremes and the voters refused to listen to him much. Kind of like what happened to Evelyn in the last election.
No one is writing about the conservatives which are a mess provincially and nationally.

Hillary is not new to this Rodeo, in fact she's been at this game for a long time. She's a force to be reckoned with, which is a good thing. Does she bleed? Probably not.

Well, if Cruz is selected, Trump will go third party & Hillary wins. I still think their elections are waaaay too long

6:56- I think they're all a mess. This Liberal spending like drunken sailors better work. If not, we'll see the rise of a Conservative party in a few years. We'll see a slash and burn of programs that would make Mike Harris look like a Saint. And we would deserve it.

Sounds like the Democrats might also be heading for a brokered convention.

Laura Bush has said she prefers Hillary to Trump. I think the Bush women might be a tad smarter than the men,
