Wouldn't be in the least interesting. The history of neither Russia nor China  is close to my personal experience. Neither language nor politics are shared . Though likely living  in peace and providing for our children are a common aspiration. 

Charlie Rose has an occasional guest who throws light on their problems. I believe they might easily recognise a Donald Trump in their midst.

 I'd  take a bet North Korea would know him in an instant.

I definitely would not like to be living next a country like North Korea any time soon.

I can't get excited about a  pet cemetery at the south end of town either. If the property belongs to the town, it was undoubtedly  dedicated by the developer as part of the 15% dedication for parks the town is entitled to request under the Planning Act. 

I'm equally certain the town has  no archeologists on the payroll for the purpose of re-creating  or discovering the Pet cemetery. If David Heard and others want to put time and effort into the project,at this time I know of no reason why they shouldn't. 

I can think of a multitude of reasons why the town had no business using $2.3 million to purchase 6 acres of developable land  and transfer it from one side of the town's ledger to the other.

I can conceive of no rationale for the town to raise taxes next year by $1.3 million to build a park on the Mavrinac site.

It  cannot be done this year because there is no budget. 

The entire reserve of cash-in-lieu of park .13 million dollars has been spent. No  source, other than taxes is available to raise the funds.

Truth is, the cost of that park is many times the  price of  land and estimated cost of building  the park. 

The town forfeits annual tax revenue from residential development of the land, not to mention development levies to be charged. Precise figures can be  easily estimated  based on alternative 

density decided. 

Cost of maintenance for a six acre park can also be determined on the basis of established practice.  

Despite talk about obtaining public input to the proposal, cost implications of using this  land for park as opposed to development, has never been publicly considered by Council or placed before the

community . 

It's not conscious but it's a scam nevertheless. 

It may be ignorance but it is not excusable.

I'm convinced Council  has no idea of the financial enormity of the proposal. 

A hiring freeze policy  was adopted and ever since ,most decisions have been buying  land .

Taking it out of the private sector,where it produces revenue , into the public sector where it 

absorbs resources. 

Meanwhile, millions of dollars are expended monthly on professional expertise nowhere evidenced in decisions being made. 

De-regulation of U.S. banks ain't got nuthin' on Aurora's financial affairs.
