"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION

Why should this surprise you? This has been the MO of this board since the beginning.

Morris is the evil empire (ie Darth Vadar). All of the other Moc-Mac cult are the empire characters.
Ms Buck is Princess Leia, Watts is Luke Skywalker and Maddocks is Han Solo.
Throw into the mix the likes of RtB (Boba Fett maybe) or Something Fishy (Jar Jar Binks) and you have all the makings of a great story.
***********
Fiction writers are constrained by having to make  characters believable. Characteristics have to be identifiable.
I never understood why the Mormac Duo did what they did
OR  why they  believed  it would would turn  to their advantage.
The more damage and personal injury they caused,  greater numbers of people were alienated.
A malignant fog  permeated everywhere.
All I did was tell snippets of  events as they occurred.
Had I told all, I would  have run into difficulties being believed.
Some people still put it down to my malevolent intention.
Even the characters keenly described ,would not have been believable.
Phyllis weeps with  self-pity on occasion.
Political characteristic I most decry, although I understand it, is morbid fear of doing what needs to be done, in case someone, anyone, might be offended.
These people were not like that. They did what they did  for the sake of payback for imagined offenses
Unlike Star Wars, no high adventure or heroism occurred  during  the Mormac years. I loved that movie.

The entire community was degraded by the level to which  Council and the administration sank.
We were all  besmirched.
Even little children were not saved  harmless.
In the future, I suspect, the entire chapter will be papered  over.
For privacy's sake and future employment, the victims who fell by the wayside , perforce must remain nameless.
Financial cost of  the mayhem, private and public, may never be tallied or even completely known.
They held Prayer Breakfasts.    ..  .

And a special day for Restorative Justice of some sort. That one blew my socks off. We are fortunate they were so relaxed about everything and didn't really bother to run in the election. Thought it was theirs for the taking. Touch wood.

Comparing the lot to Star War characters makes it all appear quite trivial. But it wasn't. Nor was it the least bit funny although we did try to find pieces of laughter.
The person who used the Star Wars analogy has no idea of the clear and constant malice. It is still unbelievable.

Loosen up - at the end of the day you're still on the right side of the grass. You take this blog way too seriously.

Gosh. You of all people should recognize rhetoric. Enjoy. It's ' restorative '.

Why do people keep asserting that this Blog is fixated on Morris and her bunch. Like no other topics get covered? The subject boils up periodically, mainly because of the lingering lawsuits but it certainly isn't to the exclusion of other material. It would be great to just go " Poof " and be done with it. It is now up to the courts to settle the legal issues and up to Council to fix any residue on their table.
