"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

There was so much enthusiasm for the new council.

My criticism was harsh, I could have and should have used  inexperienced rather than ineptness.

The second  choice  was not wrong. It was the result of  the first.

The difficulty I have with the current generation of politicians and it's reflected throughout the community, is  their reluctance to  exercise their minds  and use their own judgement..

Municipal Councillors are the only ones who have that freedom.

But  our Council  keeps needing  to know what other municipalities are doing.

Like Markham and Richmond Hill and Newmarket have  discovered the key to  all wisdom.

I'm reminded of the question  a parent asks of a child... if Jack or Jill jumped off a cliff would you do it too ?

It's  insufferably patronizing  because it is and  that's exactly what infuriates the average teen-ager.

He doesn't want to hear what he doesn't want to hear. He would rather jump off a cliff and learn the lesson himself.

Parenting is  hard. You just can't let them jump without doing everything you can to stop them.

like    uhhh....nagging and negativity....tedious  and  tiresome  to both sides and  best done behind closed doors...like laundry.

And by the way, boys and girls are not the same.

Girls have a  better sense of self-preservation .

Some girls may have a better idea of self-preservation but not all. Some ding-bat is planning to marry Bernardo !!!!!!!
