"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

Yeah,,,Right

I Dunno has left a new comment on your post "Jesus, Mary and Joseph":

"The concept will not be promoted in this space.
Why would it?"

To attempt to provide balance to the discussion? To avoid skewing perceptions? To allow both sides to have a forum?

*****************
We are talking about a promotion scheme that has been railroaded onto the  public's  perception.
Separate, secret meetings with Councillors  designed to maximise
manipulation .
How's that for an attempt to skew results.
And by the way, line up a list of prominent names in support of the project before the public gets to hear about a potential  raid  on public funds for a gamble at best.
How's that for balance.
Everything that could be has already been done to skew perceptions.
We have a way to go before balance is restored.
This space . for now, will be used to even things up a bit.

I'm sure Councillor Ballard would be delighted to hear any comments from those too lazy to get a Blog of their own from which to pontificate. Evelyn has paid the dues of nurturing her creation. Let them do likewise.

Perception is everything. I remember writing a policy in a former life about conflict of interest. Perceived conflict of interest is just as, if not more important than real conflict of interest, and certainly as damaging.
This council need to clean up the optics of how they go about their business individually and collectively. Several of them are rapidy losing credibility and respect in my eyes. Some never had it.
