"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

No consistency

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Guest Post on Publicly Funded Legal Defense Costs":

9:48- There was a lot more to the story then was told. Remember....The papers/media will tell you what THEY want to tell you.

That is true as far as it goes.  To be taken seriously  a newspaper is generally careful to present a balanced  account.

Editorials and columns are opinion pieces.

If there is another side to this story, and there always is, it should also be told.

If politicians, accountable for public spending ,are not willing to tell then who?

A separate story in The Star indicates the Province does not fork out the dollars to defend judges against complaints. They have to pay their own defense costs.
