"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

Ugly Canadians

Wednesday morning. The day after Tuesday evening. There was a  fair amount of  gloating going on as could be expected from  the Walmer crowd . We have come to expect it from  "The usual suspects"

You might also expect I was not inclined to give them space. But it did incline me to make a new decision on the blog.

Unless a comment is a rational point of  view, though opposite my own, it will not be published unless I decide to use it as an example of what we are still dealing with in Aurora.

This August will be five years since I started the blog. Many lessons have been learned. I am still learning. The latest lesson is not to provide space here for the ugly underbelly of our community to flourish. Not one iota.

Good Show ! Right Call ! They are free to set up their own Blogs in their peerless prose must be printed. I read on C.W's site that Ballard is so stretched for comments that he quotes his dog. did Morris ever get her thingee going?

So whay is it an "Ugly Candadians" post? Are the supporters of your cause all foreign? Are you sure that those opposed to you are Canadian?

Doesn't make much sense to me...

I agree that Morris and company should congregate on another political blog and have a love in.

Ballard has his site but it does little to inspire.

Morris also has her website all set to go with the exception that no political thoughts have been posted and there is no opportunity to offer comments. With a bit of effort maybe she could get one of her friends to fix things up proper.

Of course I expect that anonymous comments and comments critical of the current council may not be permitted, because that could be seen as hypocritical and surely no one wants that.
