It's like watching sausage

There's something else I  need to tell before it  falls between the cracks.

On Tuesday, Councillor Gaertner could not answer a question about a recommendation from Parks and Rec Advisory Committee  because she was not in attendance.

The recommendation was to investigate acquisition and potential use of the Aurora Armouries.

On the way home, I suddenly thought....wait a minute, Councillor Ballard has taken a leave of absence, he wouldn't be at the meeting either.  Who made the recommendation?

So, next day I called.

Ron Weese was in the chair.

Yep.....the same who  heads the  self- acclaimed  Aurora Sports Council .....has an address at the Town Hall and space for an employee to make applications for available grants.

The organization is also in a position to solicit financial support from business in the community.

Like the  Aurora Farmers  Market.

Like the erstwhile St Kitts Jazz Festival sometimes known as the Aurora Jazz Festival or the purpose of grant applications  with  enthusiastic support of Councillor Ballard.

The same  Ron Weese who  created the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame with enthusiastic support from Aurora Council.

The same who  has apparently set up a new soccer league in competition to the Aurora  Youth Soccer Association.

The same who appears to have connection to the Aurora Tennis Club who wanted an  all season facility but ddidn't want  the  winning contract awarded for a facility that would suit their purpose perfectly and wouldn't cost the town a nickel.

It seems the federal government is  planning another celebration of the military and substantial grants are available  from that level of government to mark  the celebration.

An associate  of Mr.Weese and the Tennis Club have apparently approached someone with  connections to  put his name on an application for  one of those grants.

As an aside... but not too far aside..... isn't it odd  the  Federal government signed a twenty year lease that can be extended for a building they don't own , for a purpose served by a building  they do own  which has  been  dedicated to the purpose for  a hundred years .
