"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

I Did Not Know About That One

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "To Emphasize the Point":

I'm not  sure if you are referring to the employee of which I m thinking. But one of them had to get a lawyer & fight very hard to get the money to which he was entitled. Hope he is still out there as a character witness

No, it wasn't that one and it wasn't two others I know about .

I don't know anything about the one you're  talking about.

There was a bylaw officer on contract.  They were sloppy about getting contracts signed. Made that the excuse  and  undertook the expense of  recruiting for  six positions. Signed up  five of the officers they already had on contract.

He  sought me out  beforehand and told me what they were doing and why.

He was inclined to have his say about people who were not pulling their weight and the job not being done the way it should.

They  did exactly what  he said they would.

Scheesh, I wish I had listened better. All I can recall was that he had to link up with someone with whom/for he had once worked [ in Newmarket ] who then wielded the legal club.

Clr. Gaertner should be charged rent for having been allowed to occupy her chair at the table.

She has managed to contribute nothing to the town's business.

No need to disparage Clr Gaertner.
Her failings as a concillor to have a thought of her own that anyone understood were well documented before the last election.Over 4000 Aurorans felt she had what it takes to sit on council. It is those people any anger should be addressed to not Wendy. She was "democratically" elected.

You can't disparage her.

She is beyond disparagement.

I think the voters who supported her need to take an IQ test.

You're correct...Let's hope they get it right in 2014.

But not enough votes to get her the committees she so desired. And she effectively took votes from Granger & Evalina. Not bad day's work. Could have been much worse.
