"Cowardice asks the question...is it safe? Expediency asks the question...is it politic? Vanity asks the question...is it popular? But conscience asks the question...is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but one must take it because it is right." ~Dr. Martin Luther King

How about that?

The last artist featured in  Art of the Low Countries  last night was Vermeer.  The last painting  featured on the program was Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Vermeer died penniless and was buried in an unmarked grave.

A headline on 680 news just reported a  disputed painting has been authenticated by Christie's and is expected to earn $13million in an upcoming auction.

How about that?

I think Van Gogh sold one painting during his lifetime that wasn't to his loyal brother Theo.
