St Maximillian Kolbe High School is a named for a young Polish priest who knew instinctively
the value of radio in spreading information and education among the people.
It was exactly opposite to the objective of Nazi Germany and the priest was soon in one of their
internment camps. He was executed when he offered to take the place of a husband and father wgo was chosen for extermination.
The school Ptincipal took the first class of students before the school opened to see where it all happened and learn everything to know about the man for whom their school was named and purpose dedicated

Thank you, Evelyn. It does anger me that history is no longer a " required " subject in high schools.
